PANORAMA WorkSHOP IN SALZBURG

Learn techniques to achieve stunning night time photography and incredible cityscape panoramas. This workshop is open to beginner and improvers. It's a two evenings course for maximum of four people. The course takes place in the centre of beautiful Salzburg. Everything is in walking distance.

Dates 

  • April 6th - 7th (Sat-Sun)
  • April 13th - 14th (Sat-Sun)
  • April 20th - 21st (Sat-Sun)

Day One

  • 15:00 Meetup in old of town of Salzburg
  • 15:30h Camera basics and Introduction into the necessary equipment.
  • 16:30h  Taking Panaroma image lesson.

Day Two

  • 14h Light Lunch or cake / coffee included in the price of the course.
  • 14.30h - 18h Post Production, using Raw Editor and Photoshop

What you will learn

  • Using Manual Exposure and choosing the correct exposure for the entire scene.
  • Focusing in Live View
  • Selecting the best Aperture to use.
  • Graduated Neutral-Density Filters (Grads) to achieve balance exposures.
  • Setting up the Panorama head to ensure object aren't out of align due to parallax.
  • Use of a Panorama Head and Tripod.
  • Learn to take 2:1, 3:1, 4:1 ratio high detailed Panoramic images
  • Stitching your image together on your own computer.
  • Sharpened basics and Resolution for Fine Art Printing.

What you need to Bring

If you don't have the necessary equipment don't worry, I can provide a Tripod, Camera and Lens.

  • Digital SLR or interchangeable lens camera.
  • Bring a sturdy tripod if you have one.
  • Panorama Head if you like can be purchase from http://www.roundabout-np.de/
  • Laptop computer with your image software.
  • A fix lens of 50mm, 35mm or 100mm will produce optimal results, bring one along if you have one.
  • A cable release for your camera this makes life easier when creating panoramas.
  • Graduated Neutral-Density Filters (Grads) either the Singh Ray or Lee which are quite expensive but they do deliver excellent results. However if you are on a budget the Cokin Filter are also possibility, the ND4 and ND8 would be enough.
