This magnificent narrow canyon was first opened 1882 to the public, in 1977 it was declared as a national monument. The 80m deep gorge is consists of over 50 wooden bridges and 35 wooden staircases with at least 373 steps. The river, Ödenbach flows and continues to deepened the canyon by approximately half a centimeter a year.
The images were taken on the 13th of August 2009, after two previousily attempts to visit the Klamm. Finally the weather was just right, overcast and slightly dizzly.
